Our Occupational Therapy Partnership
Dear Providence Parent,
Thank you for your interest in Occupational Therapy (OT) services for your child at Providence Academy. We are excited to partner with Mini Miracles Pediatric Therapy to provide on-campus OT services for our students during the school day. Mini Miracles therapists are on campus each Friday.
We are grateful to be able to offer families the convenience of receiving needed therapy services within the familiar environment of school. Our primary occupational therapists are Tara Hensley, MS, OTR/L, and Helen Berry, OTR/L, who work closely with Providence staff and families to support students in reaching functional and academic milestones.
How the process works
If you would like to pursue OT services for your child, please complete the attached Mini Miracles Initial Packet and return the completed paperwork to the Providence Academy school office, Attn: Lindsey Mitchell. The packet provides Mini Miracles with the information and permissions needed to establish your child as a patient, including insurance and medical history information, consent for treatment and billing, and privacy-related forms.
Families work directly with Mini Miracles regarding therapy services, insurance, billing, and payment. Mini Miracles participates with Tennessee Medicaid, Virginia Medicaid, and most managed-care/commercial insurance plans in the area and files participating insurance claims as a courtesy. Coverage and any out-of-pocket costs will depend on your individual insurance plan.
Once the paperwork has been received and services are ready to begin, Providence and Mini Miracles will coordinate the school-day logistics. We hope that providing space and time for OT during the school day makes accessing this support a little easier for our families.
