    Position Overview

    The IT Administrator is a vital technical role responsible for the daily operation, integrity, security, and reliability of Providence Academy’s technology systems. This position blends hands-on user support with systems, network, and security responsibilities and works closely with the Director of IT to ensure seamless technology access for students, faculty, and staff.

    The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical competence, patience, excellent communication skills, and a service-oriented mindset, while also showing initiative, flexibility, and a desire to grow professionally in a mission-driven educational environment.

    Mission and Faith Alignment

    The IT Administrator must be a born-again Christian who knows the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior (John 3:3; 1 Peter 1:23) and affirms the Bible as the inspired, inerrant Word of God (II Timothy 3:16).     Qualifications and Experience

    The position requires an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of three (3) years of relatable IT experience. Active CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications are required. Microsoft 365 & Cybersecurity certifications are preferred but not required at hire; continued renewal certification and professional development are expected as part of the role.

    Candidates must demonstrate strong time-management skills, the ability to document projects, tasks, and support tickets, and a high level of dependability and integrity.     General mechanical ability and ability to perform semiskilled and technical tasks in landscape, construction and maintenance activities 


    Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license issued by the State of Tennessee

Operate various pieces of light automotive and mechanical equipment during a major portion of the time.  Constant supervision is not required for routine and repetitive tasks that can be carried on without difficulty.  Also is responsible to school leadership for the overall aesthetic view of the campus. 


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES: 


    Grooming grounds to include mowing, edging, and weeding fence lines 


    Operates mowers, small equipment, and hand tools in performance of tasks 


    Janitorial tasks on grounds and related structures 


    Responsible to notify Facility Manager of operation issues with any equipment, including busses

  • Part-Time MS/HS Guidance & Support

    Title: Guidance & Support Specialist, MS/HS 


    Reports to: Director of Student Services 


    Position Overview: 


    In alignment with Providence Academy’s mission for students to think and live in a manner that brings glory to God, the Guidance and Support Specialist provides spiritual, social, and emotional support from a Biblical perspective, enriching students’ overall development during their time at PA. 


    This role is intentionally unlicensed by the state, allowing it to operate fully within PA’s mission, statement of faith, and values. As such, the Guidance and Support Specialist does not diagnose, treat, or provide therapy. Instead, the Specialist offers individual support, delivers whole-group instruction, assists in crisis situations, consults with staff and parents, and serves as a resource for social, emotional, and spiritual wellness. When students require ongoing or intensive therapy, the Specialist will connect families with appropriate community professionals. 


    Qualifications: 


    Bachelor’s degree in counseling or related field; master's degree preferred. 


    Counseling experience required; experience in a Christian school setting preferred. 


    Ability to provide Biblically based guidance primarily to students in grades 6–12, but also to students PK-5 when Elementary Guidance and Support is unavailable. 


    Maintain confidentiality at all times.

    Primary Responsibilities 


    Family Support & Communication 


    Partner with parents to provide individualized support for students. 


    Conduct parent follow-up via phone, email, or meetings as needed. 


    Provide parents with relevant resources (e.g., AXIS guides, suicide-proofing your home materials). 


    Facilitate parent education sessions (e.g., sexual education/discipleship, yearly parent education event) including marketing, promotion, communication, and logistics.  


    Collaboration & Meetings 

    5. Consult with teachers, staff, and administration regarding student needs. 

    6. Participate in Student Services team meetings on a quarterly basis. 

    7. Attend bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with the Director of Student Services. 

    8. Assist with orientation events. 

    9. Attend annual retreats (e.g., High School Doe River Gorge retreat).

    10. Maintain detailed records, including Ticket System documentation, incident reports, and DCS referrals.

    Crisis Response & Referrals 

    13. Respond to crisis situations; coordinate with Mobile Crisis and/or Telehelp as appropriate. 

    14. Recommend and track community referrals; stay current with local community resources. 

    15. Network with community providers to evaluate fit for PA’s faith-based mission and maintain the community resource sheet.

  • Part-Time Percussion Teacher

    Job Title: Percussion Instructor / Drumline Director


    Department: Fine Arts 

    Reports To:   Fine Arts Department Chair / School Administration

    Employment Status: Part-Time (Schedule Requires Flexibility)


    Position Summary


    The Percussion Instructor/Drumline Director provides specialized instruction for percussion students and supports the overall band program. Responsibilities include directing the drumline, classroom percussion instruction, and preparing students for performances and school events. This position may be part-time but requires participation in designated meetings, rehearsals, performances, and school-related activities.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    Provide instruction in percussion techniques, musicianship, and performance skills for students participating in band and percussion-related ensembles.


    Direct and rehearse the school drumline during marching band season and other designated performance opportunities.


    Plan, organize, and conduct drumline camps, clinics, and sectional rehearsals as needed to prepare students for the marching season and performances.


    Assist with percussion-related instruction, rehearsal preparation, and student development.


    Prepare percussion students and drumline members for performances, competitions, and school events.


    Maintain organization, care, and inventory of percussion instruments, equipment, and related materials.


    Support the goals and standards of the school’s fine arts programs.


    Event and Performance Responsibilities


    The Percussion Instructor/Drumline Director is expected to attend and supervise drumline participation at school events, including but not limited to:


    Pep rallies


    Home football games


    Home basketball games


    Band performances, competitions, and other school-related events as assigned


    Meetings and Professional Expectations


    Attend required professional development meetings as directed by administration.


    Attend Fine Arts Department meetings and other program-related meetings as required.

    Schedule Expectations


    This position requires a flexible work schedule, which may include after-school rehearsals, evening performances, drumline camps, athletic events, pep rallies, and occasional weekend activities.


    Qualifications


    Demonstrated experience in percussion performance and instruction, preferably in a school or marching band setting.


    Ability to instruct marching percussion and drumline techniques.


    Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Part-Time Learning Services Aide

    Title: Learning Services Aide 


    Reports To: Director of Student Services 


     


    In alignment with Providence Academy’s mission for students to think and live in a manner that brings glory to God, the Learning Services Aide is a member of the Learning Services team, providing administrative support to students with diagnosed learning differences or identified learning gaps. The Learning Services Aide supports the implementation of intervention services by assisting with progress monitoring, administering assessments, and helping prepare instructional materials that promote student growth in reading and math. 


    In addition, the Learning Services Aide will serve as a proctor for students receiving testing accommodations as time allows, assist in the coordination and execution of quarterly benchmarks, and support the preparation of student data for team review. This role also includes overseeing key departmental resources, such as maintaining the Tutor Directory and managing the Parent Academy resource hub, ensuring materials remain current, accessible, and supportive to families. The Learning Services Aide will also support various administrative and programmatic needs of the department, contributing to the overall effectiveness and organization of Learning Services. 


     


    Qualifications 


    High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred. 


    Experience in an educational setting preferred. 


    Ability to learn and administer assessments (including Wilson Reading System and Saxon Math) with training. 


    Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail. 


    Proficiency with technology, including platforms such as Canva, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and website management. 


    Ability to confidentially manage sensitive student information. 


    Strong data-tracking skills to assess student needs and design interventions.

    Student Support & Program Assistance 


    Assist with proctoring assessments for students receiving testing accommodations in alignment with ILPs. 


    Support interventionists by preparing instructional materials, making copies, and organizing resources for reading and math intervention. 


    Assist in administering assessments such as STAR, DIBELS, WIST, WADE, TOSWRF2, Saxon, and other appropriate screeners (training provided). 


    Support progress monitoring efforts by organizing and recording student data. 


    Assist in the coordination and execution of quarterly benchmark assessments, including preparation of materials and organization of data. 


    Help prepare student data for team review and reporting purposes. 


     


    Administrative & Resource Management 


    Maintain and oversee the Learning Services Tutor Directory by communicating with tutors, updating listings, recruiting new tutors as needed, and promoting the resource to families. 


    Manage and update the Parent Academy resource hub, ensuring materials are current, organized, and accessible; regularly add new content using web-based platforms. 


    Provide general administrative support to the Learning Services team, including organizing materials and supporting day-to-day operational needs. 


    Assist in the preparation of Learning Services communications and board reports as needed. 


    Maintain and update Learning Services bulletin boards and displays throughout the year.

    Partner with interventionists and classroom teachers to support the implementation of student intervention plans.

    POSITION OVERVIEW:  The art teacher is responsible for developing in each student an interest in and the ability for creative expression in visual terms, using skills and techniques of artistic expression consistent with school guidelines with an emphasis on God as the creator of all things; to develop aesthetic understandings and appreciations; to discover and develop talents of students in the field of art. 


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The art teacher supervises students and is responsible for the overall management of instruction, and evaluation of the students in the classroom, throughout the school grounds, and on educational trips.  The art teacher carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Providence Academy’s policies and applicable state laws. 


     


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES: 


    Develop and deliver engaging art lessons that align with school standards and values.
