We are excited to announce that, as part of our 2025-26 focus on the Creation story, Providence Academy will be closing on February 27 and encouraging all families to join us at the Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY. This special trip offers an exciting, hands-on opportunity for families to explore God’s creation together. Providence Academy families can enjoy discounted group rates for the Creation Museum, the Ark Encounter, and partnering hotels (see discounts below).
Faculty/Staff Discounts & Refunds
In addition to the discounted rates for the Creation Museum, Ark Encounter, and partnering hotels, Providence Faculty/Staff will receive a refund (provided by our generous sponsors) after registration to help offset their expenses. Please register and purchase tickets through the links below. A reimbursement check of approximately $248 (per faulty/staff member) will then be issued.
TRIP OVERVIEW
At the Creation Museum you’ll walk through over 140 immersive exhibits where Bible history and creation science come to life — from dinosaur fossils and “dragons,” to a Starlab planetarium, 4D theater, botanical gardens, live zoo encounters, and daily interactive presentations.
The Creation Museum is in Petersburg, Kentucky (just 7 miles west of the Cincinnati airport).

Experience Bible history at the life-size Noah’s Ark. Meet Noah, his family, and the animals on the Ark. The family-friendly Ark Encounter theme park near Cincinnati also features a zoo and timber-frame restaurant.
The Ark Encounter is in Williamstown, Kentucky, halfway between Cincinnati and Lexington and right off I-75 (43 miles from the Creation Museum).

Come and hear a special presentation by speaker Bryan Osborne on Friday, February 27 at 1:00 pm at the Creation Museum. Bryan Osborne is a speaker for Answers in Genesis and an author. Bryan is an expert in exciting, apologetics-based evangelism and chronological Bible teaching.

When is the last day to purchase tickets and reserve a hotel?
The last day to purchase discounted museum tickets and reserve a hotel at the discounted rate is Tuesday, February 3.
Do the hotels have complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi, and hotel parking?
Yes, all our hotels listed will have complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi, and hotel parking.
How much is parking at the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter?
Parking is on-site. Standard parking is $15 per vehicle ($20 for oversized).
Which hotels have an indoor pool?
Homewood Suites, LaQuinta Inn Suites, Tru, Hampton Inn, and Holiday Inn Express have indoor pools.
How do we get tickets at the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter?
Tickets will be available to pick up at the group check-in window at the ticket office. The tickets will be under your first and last name.
What are some other things to do during our stay?

Are wheelchairs/ strollers available at both venues?
Strollers, manual wheelchairs, and ECVs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests are welcome to bring their own. See accessibility options.
Can we take pictures at the venues?
Guests are welcome to take home lasting memories by photographing and recording the exhibits at the Creation Museum. However, any photography of the videos on monitors and in theaters is prohibited. Most videos are available for purchase in the bookstore.
What are the food options at the Museum and the Ark Encounter?
The Creation Museum offers a variety of meal options.

What are the park hours for the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter?
The Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Wednesday-Saturday). Both venues are closed Sunday to Tuesday.
When and how will faculty & staff recieve the $248 stipend?
We will defer to your FACTS account and apply the credit within a week of the trip, and for those few employees who don't have a FACTS account, we will issue a check within a week of returning from the trip.
What if a couple both work at Providence? Will they both receive the stipend?
Yes, both will receive the $248 stipend.
Can hourly employees be paid while attending Creation Museum?
Yes, hourly employees can use the “School Event” Isolved code to log their work hours on the day of the visit to the Creation Museum.
What happens if an employee has a family emergency or is sick and needs a refund? How will this process work, and who will they need to contact?
Any money collected on a FACTS form can be refunded. If you make reservations for a hotel, you will need to contact the hotel directly about a refund.
How do we recieve a hotel refund?
You will need to contact the hotel directly. Guests must cancel their reservations 48 hours before the arrival date of their reservation to avoid paying the cancellation fee. If the guests cancel their reservation within the 48-hour window, they will be charged one night's room and tax.
Is faculty and staff required to attend the Creation Museum trip?
We have worked hard to prepare a stipend to make it easier on everyone. If you have an issue with this date, please see your principal or supervisor.
What happens if the Creation Museum closes due to inclement weather?
We contacted the Creation Museum, and they shared that it is extremely rare that they close due to inclement weather. They are confident that they will be open the weekend that we plan on attending.
