In game 1 of Division 2 tournament play, Providence fell to Veritas Christian 2-0. Veritas, who went on to win the tournament, was a tough first round draw.  Providence had their chances to score but could not manage to finish.

In game two, Providence led a strong Grace Christian (Florida) 2-1 with just 13 minutes remaining in the match. Grace Christian managed to score 2 goals late to win the match.

In game three, Providence defeated Lake Forrest 2-1. Providence fell behind early 1-0. Merritt McKinney scored a game tying goal on an assist from Reid Smith just before the half. With 14 minutes remaining in the game, Jared Grace tapped the ball past the stretched out Lake Forrest goalkeeper. Neil Stoltzfus’ assist split two defenders and was on target for Grace to finish.

The Knights competed well in this year’s tournament. Missing senior sweeper JD Reynolds for the entire tournament and senior striker Merritt McKinney for two games was a challenge. Overall, the Knights came away with 2 victories and scored an impressive 9 goals.
