NACA Volleyball Tournament Results

Last week the Providence Academy Varsity volleyball team competed in the NACA volleyball tournament in Dayton, TN.  The team was undefeated in pool play, which earned them a spot in Division 1 for the tournament, where they were seeded 5th.  During tournament play, the Lady Knights started strong and won their first game against Carroll Christian from Maryland (25-22, 22-25, 15-8).  Next, the Lady Knights faced Western Carolina from Asheville (NC).  During the game, junior libero, Ali Chambers, and junior outside hitter, Eve Little both suffered injuries that would take them out of play for the rest of the tournament.  The team fought hard, despite being down two players, but they were unable to pull out a win (13-25, 13-25).  Next the Lady Knights faced Evangel from Alabama.   The team showed a lot of determination and worked well together; however, Evangel came out on top (23-25, 18-25).  In the last game of the tournament, Providence faced FCA Baltimore.  Again, the team rallied together and showed a lot of determination, fighting hard until the last point was scored.  The Lady Knights walked off the court with a win (25-13, 25-19), finishing the tournament in 7th place out of 40 teams.
