Title: “The Stream ‘Consciousness’ of a Classical Mind in Christ (In Christo)”

Prints made from the original rendering of this painting are now available.  The image is approximately 8 ½ x 39 inches.  The final painting from this rendering is exhibited in the Providence Academy cafeteria.  The image reflects the many aspects of a Christian / Classical education in a visual sense.  The interlocking of diverse subject matter is exhibited with harmony, energy, and balance.  The repetition of the symbol of Christ (Crucifix) defines the structure of the entire composition.  Among the many symbolic elements of the painting, the image of Michelangelo’s “David” (which is the 5^th section, not shown here) is intended to emulate the fierce determination of a Godly individual conquering what would be overwhelming odds with strength and purpose given by God.  The purpose being that we should not simply endure this life, but prevail in the love of Christ (In Amore Christi).

The digital image shown here is a portion of the actual image that reflects approximately 4/5 of the print image which is actually divided into five sections (quintyche).  The print is $50, and $20 of this amount will go directly to the Annual Scholarship Fund. 

 

Attached to the back of each print will be a certificate of authenticity.  Each print will be numbered. 

 

We have also worked out a program to have the prints beautifully framed, if you so choose.  The frame has an aged gold leaf finish with a carved motif design, and it includes a double matte. You can order your print to be matted in one of six colors:  White, Off-White, Burgundy, Green, Blue or Gold.  The cost is an additional $200 to have the print framed, and $40 of this amount will go to the scholarship fund.

 

The original painting, in a frame like the one being offered, will be on display in the school foyer.  Please stop by to see it for yourself.  It is gorgeous!

If you would like your order filled by May 15^th in time for graduation then the order and payment must be turned in by Wed., May 7^th.  Order forms may also be picked up in the school office.
