Financial Aid at Providence Academy
|
Providence Academy provides Financial Aid through the Annual Scholarship Fund to families that are unable to afford tuition. The financial aid process can provide up to a 50% reduction in tuition. Providence Academy uses the services of the "Family Financial Needs Assessment" (FFNA) to assess need for tuition aid.
FFNA is an independent organization that examines a prospective family's financial application. FFNA will then provide a recommendation to Providence Academy for a specific tuition reduction based on need. The family's financial information is maintained by FFNA and is not seen by Providence Academy. The Providence Academy Administrator and Board will examine the recommendations from FFNA each year and determine the final discount given per family. Typically, PA uses the discount recommended by FFNA, however this is subject to annual review and may vary from year to year.
The financial aid assessment does cost $20 per traditional assessment or $40 per fastback assessment. Consequently, the financial aid assessment is generally done after a student has filled out an application and has been accepted into the school.
