Secondary (Grades 7-12)
PA secondary is departmentalized at all levels. Students in grades 7 and 8 are provided a broad curriculum, besides the core academic courses, that includes physical education, art, music, drama, and computer in 7th grade and physical education, art, music, and logic in 8th grade. Grades 9-12 meet the TN college preparatory graduation requirements, with every graduate receiving a college prep diploma. AP courses include English Language and Composition (Rhetoric I) and English Literature and Composition (Philosophy of Literature), which are required courses for all students, and Calculus AB, a senior elective. Honors courses available to students include Algebra II, Geometry, Chemistry, U.S. History, Physics, Advanced Biology, and Rhetoric II, also required of all students. In addition, we have elective courses in English, Math, the Social Sciences, Science, and Bible. Seventy percent of our secondary faculty have graduate degrees, and all are certified in the subjects they teach.
