Bible Department

The ultimate purpose of the Providence Academy Bible department is to enable students to apply a biblical world and life view to all areas of life and thought. As a foundation, elementary students are taught a grammar level Bible Survey and Christian worldview program through the Building on the Rock Summit Ministries curriculum. Secondary students are trained and encouraged to apply the truth of Scripture across the various academic disciplines, with an emphasis on preparation for the challenges of college, career, and marriage. This preparation encourages an expanding knowledge of Bible content, the development of Bible study skills, and increased participation and leadership in ministry. Students are brought face to face with their need for a Savior and are equipped to defend their faith as they have opportunity to “. . . give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have . . .” Our prayer is that our students will graduate with a solid biblical foundation, an increasingly passionate relationship with the Lord, an understanding of the call to be salt and light in the world in which we live, and the ability to effectively communicate and defend his/her faith with others.
